He spent his childhood following in the footsteps of both of his parents, playing the piano like his mother and soccer like his father.
In high school that Jere discovered musical theatre and it greatly impacted the direction that his life would take. He attended the University of Alabama, studying musical theatre. After a year, he decided that dance was his true passion and joined the Alabama Ballet under the direction of Wes Chapman. Jere then decided to go back to school and attended Marymount Manhattan College, where he graduated with a BFA in Dance and was a member of the Marymount Manhattan College Dance Company. Jere has recently started exploring teaching and choreographing in his time off from dancing. He has taught for the Rioult Dance NY Summer and Winter Intensive and has been on the Summer Intensive guest faculty at Ballet Tennessee in Chattanooga, TN, and Lebanon Ballet School in New Hampshire, teaching ballet, pointe, jazz, and Graham-based modern.
